5 Things to do Before Launching a Facebook PPC Campaign

Facebook PPC Campaign
Have you ever used Facebook PPC for a client? If you’re in the digital marketing/advertising industry, chances are you’re at least familiar with it. Today I’ll be speaking to those of you who manage Facebook PPC campaigns.

Here are 5 things to think about before launching your client’s Facebook PPC campaign:

Make Sure You’re Targeting The Right State

 Facebook PPC Campaign Location

Are you talking about the Dallas in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina or Oregon? Contrary to most things involving Facebook, don’t assume the platform knows exactly what city you’re trying to target. If you’re moving too quickly, it’s pretty easy to select the wrong geographic location. Targeting by specific zip code assures you’re hitting the right audience and is usually more effective than targeting a general city name anyways.

Match Your Insights

Who makes up your fanbase? To find out, use Facebook Insights or a third party reporting app like Sprout Social before running a PPC campaign. If you see that your audience draws significantly more engagement from a specific gender and age demographic, target that audience exclusively on a Facebook PPC campaign.

Speak Directly to Your Audience

Once you’ve matched your insights. Speak to your audience in their voice. Your tone and vocabulary will be completely different depending on who makes up your audience. While the purpose of this blog is not to teach you how to speak to specific audiences, I can recommend doing some research on how others are doing it on your competitors’ websites and social media.

Set an End Date

Facebook PPC Campaign Date

You’re almost at the last step of launching your Facebook PPC campaign! Now make sure you set an end date before you mistakenly spend a fortune. Facebook sets “run my ad set continuously starting today” by default. Uncheck it!

Make Sure Your Campaign is Approved

Just because you’ve clicked “place order” and your campaign is in review, does not mean you’re done! Facebook rejects all sorts of advertisements for a ton of diverse reasons. Don’t always expect your ads to be approved. Save yourself time by following Facebook’s Advertising Guidelines.

Facebook PPC ads are a highly effective and affordable way to generate income for any business. We’d love to show you what we can do for yours. Call us at (214) 414-3035 or hit us up on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
