At last, my social media prayers have been answered. I woke up this morning to tweets announcing that Facebook has finally added a feature that will allow you to schedule your post directly on Facebook without using a third-party application like Hootsuite. As of today, you can pre-write a post and schedule it to appear at a later time or date by selecting the future time before you post it. You can schedule a post up to 6 months in advance in 15-minute intervals.
Creating your first schedule post is easy. From your page’s sharing tool:
1. Choose the type of post you wan to add (Status, Photo/Video, Event, Milestone).
2. Click the clock icon in the lower-left of the sharing tool.
3. Choose the future year, month, day, hour and minute when you want your scheduled post to appear.
4. Click ‘Schedule’.
If you choose to create a Facebook from the past, the post will automatically post to the appropriate sequence on your pages Timeline. All times are based on the time zone that the post is created in.
