At our small digital marketing agency, we strive to create a happy working environment. This can be anything from minute details like keeping our coffee cart fully stocked to celebrating the joys going on in each other’s personal lives.
Being that it’s the International Day of Happiness, we couldn’t think of a better day to share some of our favorite ways to spread a little joy. Tiff’s Treats are a beloved #AEeat of ours and are probably purchased on a biweekly basis. Our latest purchase of these delectable goodies was in honor of our coworker’s engagement! Another way we like to keep everyone’s spirits uplifted is by attending events away from work. Whether that’s an AAF event, traveling to Austin for SXSW or going out for a group lunch.
But we aren’t the only people trying hard to stay positive. Below are some recent initiatives to get people to #reclaimhappiness.
Above is a challenge to be happy for 100 days hosted by 100happydays.com. They found that 71% of people that tried the challenge failed, quoting lack of time as the main reason. They simply didn’t have time to be happy. We hope you do! To participate, simply register at the site, take a photo of something that makes you happy once a day for 100 days, then upload to your favorite social media platform using the hashtag. It’s as simple as that!
Pictured above is the official site of the United Nation’s International Day of Happiness. They explore happiness from a consumer, media and political perspective encouraging people to open their eyes to the simplistic joys around them. Similar to the #100happydays challenge, to get involved simply upload a photo using the hashtag #happinessday and your photo will be entered into the stream on their website.
To conclude this post of bliss, we thought we’d end with none other than the happiness projector himself, Pharrell Williams and his new song, Happy. What’s keeping YOU happy today? Tell us on Twitter!
