Sorry, vet school. I found my true love. When I moved to the U.S. from Israel at the age of 12, my dream was to graduate from high school and continue my education in veterinary medicine. I used to work at a pet hospital and took animal science classes in high school and college. When I finished my sophomore year at Oklahoma State University, I found myself at a fork in the road.
Trying to brainstorm what field I should go into, I noticed a pattern. Every activity I was involved in, I tried to promote it; if it’s through pictures, videos, graphics or communication. After the summer of my sophomore year I decided to change my major to Strategic Communications with concentration on advertising. Let me tell you, it was the best decision of my life.
Starting off the program, I didn’t hold back. I became involved in my school through becoming the Advertising Club Social Director and joining the AAF National Student Advertising Competition. I finally started to enjoy attending class. Every class I took suddenly didn’t seem like work.
I was ready and eager to advance in my field, and knew Agency Entourage would be the perfect place to start. Coming in my first week, I was greeted by some of the nicest, talented people I have ever met. Everyone here is so welcoming and willing to teach about what they do. I know I will gain plenty of experience working with the team and the other interns. I look forward to an unforgettable summer.

The hunt has come to a close! What a journey it’s been to finally land an internship I not only feel I can learn from, but enjoy. Like many college students, I’m eager to make connections with professionals that could lead to internships, or better yet, jobs upon graduation. Lucky for me, that opportunity came at a networking event, and here I am. Now I get to chug into the Big D from my hometown of Keller everyday on the TRE!
Agency Entourage is the ideal place to put my communications skills to work as I learn about this exciting and growing field. I’ve always been interested in experiencing the firm lifestyle, and now I’ll get a front row seat to it all. The location alone is a huge plus, too. There’s nothing quite like the downtown Dallas vibe.
While getting a healthy dose of a bustling city, I look forward to getting my hands dirty with campaign planning, social media usage and communication experience. I’d like to thank everyone at AE for giving me this opportunity to contribute to the professional world. I’m stoked!
Some quick facts about me are:
- I have an appetite for traveling. In fact, over spring break I was able to study abroad in Italy. I didn’t want to leave!
- I love black coffee. Intense, I know.
- This summer, I’m also a communications intern at OCJ Apparel.
- I plan to visit Ireland someday and trace back my ancestors.
