(Hopefully you caught the meme I’m referencing to in the title…)
Anyway, if you’ve been keeping up with the latest Facebook news, you already know that there has been talks (again) about Facebook coming out with their own smartphone by next year.
Yep, Facebook is apparently in the works of coming out with a smartphone. However, rumors like these have been bouncing around since 2010 when the idea first came to fruition. But as you can see, we haven’t seen any type of a Facebook smartphone since the idea was born.
Mashable reports that some have been suspecting Facebook to be bringing in hardware engineers to concept and create the mobile device and one design idea has already hit the internet, a design posted by Yanko Design and created by designer, Michal Bonikowski.
Bonikowski’s Facebook smartphone concept featured:
- A sleek, thin phone in Facebook’s signature blue color – perfect to slide into your Apple laptop case.
- The screen has a 4.2- inch screen for easily reading your Facebook news feed.
- For all those Myspace inspired mirror pics and Instagram-to-Facebook uploads, the phone concept featured a 5-megapixel camera in the front and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.
- Included in Bonikowski’s concept as well, the phone would come with a docking and charging station. And what better stability than that to take all of those Facebook profile pics with!
