Catherine Harrington
Hi! Howdy! Hello!

Nice to meet you, my name is Catherine (pretend I’m shaking your hand right now) and I am proud to (virtually) introduce myself as one of the interns joining the Agency Entourage team this spring!

The New Girl:

Today is my first day at Agency Entourage. Okay, in all honesty, I was pretty nervous going into this. I woke up feeling like a kid headed to their first day at a new school. It’s strange, I had forgotten what it felt like to be the “new girl.” I packed my lunch in a little brown bag (just like mom did back in the day), tried on three different shirts (gotta dress for success, am I right?), and completed my morning routine by jamming out to some Beyonce (I mean, how else do you get pumped for the day?) I must say though, as far as first days go, this one has been pretty stellar! Any fears of being “the new kid” vanished within the first 10 minutes of being here. The entire team is so welcoming, and I’m excited to get started!

Background Check:

I recently graduated from Abilene Christian University where I majored in Communications and am currently pursuing an MBA. I wish I could tell you that I was one of those kids who came out of the womb knowing that they were destined to pursue a career in advertising. But no…believe it or not, I started as a musical theater major. I eventually came to the realization that living the life of a starving artist was not something I wanted to do. There were so many things I wanted to learn about but was missing out on. So I switched my major to communications. I think the logic behind that choice was, “Well, I like to talk and communication requires talking, right?” The beauty about majoring in communications is that it’s pretty broad, meaning you can make it your own, so I decided to focus on advertising. I started working for ACU’s student-run agency and fell in love.

Fun Facts About Me:

I’m a total podcast junky. My parents are too though, so I don’t think I really stood much of a chance. I also love to bake. Whenever I’m stressed out or need to just unwind, whipping up a batch of cookies usually does the trick (my friends keep trying to convince me to find a healthier outlet…like yoga.) When I’m not listening to podcasts or baking, I’m usually flying with my dad. No, that wasn’t a typo. My dad works in aviation, so I’ve grown up around airplanes. Being a more hands-on kind of person, it didn’t take long for me to decide I wanted to pursue a private pilot’s license. Turns out landing is not as scary as you would think!

Well there you have it folks! Intern Harrington over and out.
