The first official day of SXSW Interactive came and went yesterday. The AE team met at Austin Java (I’m writing this from here) bright and early. We attended a ton of sessions throughout the day.
My favorite session was at the Wanderlust. It was called Marketing as a Service. The panel discussed how marketers should focus on targeting their audiences in a more responsible manner and to avoid certain practices. It was very interesting.
I met up with Hayley and Jonathan around 2:00 and we ate a free SXSW lunch courtesy of Go-To Meeting. After, we walked over to a session about how to supervise millennials.
As you can tell from the above picture, I walked quite a bit yesterday.
I stopped at all sorts of booths and lounges, including an awesome 3D printing area.
Jonathan and I met up with Ben and some new friends at the Four Seasons. I ended my night with Jonathan and a fantastic steak dinner.
All in all, it was a great day.
I’m on my way to start day two. I’ll be posting from my Instagram, at @TrillMike all day. Keep a look out for #DallasOnTheMap!
