2013 is in full swing! Agency Entourage is going full speed ahead but we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of our favorite blog posts from 2012. This is also a chance for you to catch up on some you might have missed.
One of our Interactive Producers, DeAndré Upshaw, took us behind the scenes at a photo shoot for one our clients, Chalkboard China. Because Facebook gives us the opportunity to visually represent a brand’s message, it’s important to take some of your photos to the next level instead of falling back on predictable stock photos. His attention to detail and step-by-step process is essential for a successful and visually appealing social media campaign.
Public relations expert, Nealy Mincher, gave us a plethora of PR advice during 2012 but her post about digital PR and how it’s vital for every business was particularly spot on. “Online public relations is a must, whether it be for your brand or for a client, ” Mincher said. “It not only aids in humanizing your brand or client and builds the audience but, it gives you the opportunity to spread news online whenever you want.” Read the full post here.
Lack of Facebook engagement is a growing concern for many, especially as the top social platform grows and changes its capabilities almost every month. If you’ve never heard of the Edgerank algorithm, you need to read this post. Interactive Producer Jonathan Morris did it an excellent job explaining how the algorithm affects your page and how you can still get the most out of the time you are investing in extending your brand’s social reach.
Well not to toot my own horn, but I did enjoy coming up with some pretty good content brainstorming ideas. These ideas are perfect for when you feel as if you’ve written, tweeted, Facebook’d and blogged about everything possible because there are always more ideas out there for content that rocks! I know Agency Entourage will be continuously spending time in our conference room this year on behalf of our clients. After you read Part I, don’t forget Part II!
